Motion Pavilion
SPIDER MOTION PAVILION // Instrumental Architecture Studio I // Jim Williamson + Lorena Del Rio The motion of the cellar spider was captured through a model using wooden wheels to pull hinging “fingers” with string. From there, an architectural proposal was developed with programmatic constraints through drawing and model. This, loosely termed “pavilion” displays the essential quality of motion, whilst being a permeable structure with striking light qualities.
